Professionalism is an act, one that we're expected to play the part. In a professional world, it's one big stage and we are expected to live up to it's standards. It helps to bring our acts up to this standard in order to separate who we are from what we do as means to an end. In the end, we have to be true to ourselves. We need to stop acting when it isn't necessary anymore.

couldn't agree more. professionalism is as much a beneficiary as it is a prison. Id rather be free
