Another tale of Tragedy! He made his choice to end his life! Bitte Tötet Mich!, by Carach Angren
Hi everyone! I’m launching a small scheduling tool for freelancers in about three weeks, and the landing page still has no video. I tried recording my screen twice and both attempts were a disaster: I stumble over words, the cursor jumps around, and a Slack notification popped up in the middle of the best part. I’m also not great with editing software, and a freelancer for this would cost more than my hosting for the year. How do you handle product demos when you’re a solo founder? How long should the video be, and what should it show first?
Keep it under a minute, and open with the problem your user already feels, not with a tour of the dashboard. Then show two or three screens max, and end with one clear action. For the production side, you can use AIDemo.Video here . So there’s no screen recording or timeline editing. Write down in one sentence what you want viewers to do after watching, and give it as the goal when you generate, so the script stays focused.
Adding a few things that save time. Before you generate anything, clean up your landing page, because any video based on your site will inherit its messaging, and fuzzy copy gives you a fuzzy video.
