New to the subculture, just figuring myself out!
I mostly listen to mall emo, think: MCR, PTV, FOB, PATD, Paramore, etc.
I Have a soft spot for Midwest Emo, all kinds of Punk Rock, Prog Rock. Hell, I used to be a huge beach boys fan! I Just Wasn’t Made For These Times will still always be my favorite song of all time.
Anything by Tim Burton is a given. My fav anime is Death Note. On a more niche note, one of my all time favorite films is an animated one, by Don Hertzfeldt, titled “It’s such a beautiful day.” Also an honorable mention to the animated online series “People Watching” by Winston Rowntree. Real deep concepts explored in diverse ways.
