Oh thats a good way of listening to albums though! It means you don't exhaust the back catalougue too soon especially of bands that don't make music, or at least not as much of it anymore! Spacing them out and getting to know each album very well before moving on really helps you decide your favourites over time. Sometimes my inital "favourite" tracks are completely different to the tracks I'd pick after a good few listens! Haha, don't strain your wrist writing all those down! :)

Indeed I thought exactly the same when I heard of it first too! Very impressive that someone of your age has heard of them though ( I hope that doesnt sound patronizing!) Hope I haven't overloaded you with too many suggestions, its nice just to dip in and discover something new sometimes! Excellent listening choices there, Megadeth and Rush look like firm favourites at the moment! :)

Hello, I am indeed a prog Rock fan, mindue I don't constrict myself to any one type of music as many overlap, but yes I have a particular passion for prog rock! You already have an immaculate taste in music, Pink Floyd especially rates veery highly with me! If you like the oldies, you should investigate Yes, two albums in particular "The Yes Album" and "Fragile", if you'd like to sample them, I'll upload a few tracks for you to get a taster! Other oldies you may want to consider giving a whirl include Emerson Lake and Palmer, Uriah Heap, Deep purple, Kraftwerk, Peter Gabriel (with and without Genesis), Manfred Mann's Earth band, Mike Oldfield, Rainbow (which had prog elements early on!) Jeff Wayne (he of War of The Worlds fame) Frank Zappa, The yardbirds, The Strawbs and The nice. This barely straches the surface, and I'm sure you know many of them already, but hopefully theres a few there which you can "discover"! :) Of the more recent bands, Dream Theatre are quite highly thought of, and The Mystery Jets (their Flotsam and Jetsam ep is a great listen!) Then there is Muse, Tool, Porcupine Tree and Riverside. Hope those lists are of some use to you and don't bore you too much haha!
