ive heard from other emo sites that you have to be skinny to look good in skinny jeans is this correct?

Not particularly. Skinny jeans on skinny people make one look more skinny.

I only wear skinny stretch jeans when I go out in public or when taking pics of me. 

But I prefer slim fit jeans since I gained weight during the pandemic lockdown shit...

often Ive found myself judged more by the eyes of phantoms than those of real people. most people nowadays don't care enough to judge you on what you wear, and if for whatever reason they do, that gives you permission to laugh mercilessly at their stupidity.
