Every individual has his or her own idea of what emo means, so I thought it would be intresting to find out how many different ways our community here thiinks of emo.

I'll start then..... Emo to me is a subculture of great music and clothes, it describes alot of materieal things but it is also something extrodinary, every emo I know sees the world through a different light to tthe rest of the world, each person can put an individual touch to anything but emos tend to express themselves more weather it be through drawing, poetry, music, dance or some other way we always get our points accross even when we do not know it.

Emo to me is a personality, a mixture of strong feelings, looks and prefrences as well as a way of loveing someone and expressing that love. If you are "realy emo" there is one thing you will know in your heart but I'll leave you to guess that on your own.

emo 2 me is just my way of life

 

once wen i went to parkjunior i had to pretend i liked eminem. but i would get home and stick on some goodcharlotte.lol

what is emo to me?? hmm not too sure about subcultures and stuff scenes etc.. not really part of my everyday life.At first if someone asked me about emo i would have been like, o thier just sad people that wear thight clothing.then i discovered the music and this site. But through my experinces on this site getting to know people and  especially through the music i came to an understanding.

To me emo is they way you can connect to your emotions and express them.I think the music and the poetry are great ways that emo express themselves and when they hear the music and read the poetry it comforts them. Its is more than just a subculture of sad depressed people, infact i realsied that that would be a silly assumption to make. To me emos have found life by being who they are, life in the music, the poetry, the uniqeness of it all.Emos are the ones who truly know how to connect to their feeings and express themselves thier way.

Emo is an abbreviation of emotional hardcore wich is a subgenre of punk hardcore, scene could be the fashion, i think that is the only true definition of emo :)

emo an expression emotional personality , emo attitude black pirceings DyE, purple necklases tattos bracelets skeletons...and big cry.. well i am only detailing me and what i think emo is..

my opinion on emo has changed quite a bit. i mean before i just saw it as a decion on how u wanna alive ur life, but now i see it as emotional, for emo is short form for emotional. emo are much more emotional, and expresses their emotions much more freely then most people, they alo see the world, usually, as it is without trying to make it sound better that it truely is or worse than it it. emo scene i belive is a bit more of the way of life and music, and scene is just about the fasion.
