I thought i'd tell you a random fact of British law. In R.v yourng 1995 the defendant was charged with murdering two people. The jury had not reached a decision by the end of the day and so they were put up in a hotel overnight so they could come back to court the next day and continue to try and reach a verdict. At the hotel, some members of the jury held a seance to try to contact the murdered victims and ask them who had killed them. The next day the jury held that the defendant was guilty. A juror later wrote to the courts to confess the atrocity and a retrial was ordered. This is a real case and all factual.
