For all the broken hearted If all you wanted was my life why didn’t you just cut my heart with a knife? If all you wanted was to break my heart why didn’t you tell so I’d open my chest for you? You know that I would never hurt you, but yet I live in fear of you hurting me You know I care for you but yet all I feel is this unwanted tyranny Like the soil cushions the seed, I would have let you grow on me. Like the grass is blown by the breeze so would I have let your love flow through me. If love was the most precious thing then I would have given you it all, But if breaking my heart satisfied you I would just have to take the fall. For caring for one person can make one realize, Love is just a wrecking ball flying wildly in the sky Crashing all in its way with its steady momentum Destroying not buildings but hearts, Leaving a bloody scene For all those whose love has been forsaken Know that life can sometimes be mean Sometimes we feel like giving up pulling away from the love scene Maybe we are just meant to live under oppression, Living, hoping to have someone’s heart in your possession.
