Backcombing / teasing emo hairstyles Jul 11 2009, 08:59 AM

So does anyone backcomb their hair? How long does it take you? If anyone doesn't know what I am on about check out the videos below:

when i have time to do my hair, it usually takes like an hour from washing it to it being finished. xD

Yeah, it's mostly straightening it. xD I put a picture on my profile. It's old and badly edited, and I'm a bit chubby in it but whatever. :) I do my hair differently from how I did then, it looks similar. When I get a chance I'll take a picture. :P

I try to do it, but my hair is reeeally fine. It's a curse :( I can only wear it straight. Boo V_V

yeahh i sortaa do this... looks messyy and my hair is soo thick that it usually holds itself up without hairspray... its also naturallyy curly/wavy/a complete and utter mess XD

Ya I tease my hair and I wash it first and then straighten it then backcomb. normally takes me about and hourish straightening takes me the most time cuz my hair is naturaly wavy :/

It takes me about 30mins or less to do my hair, i wash, blow dry, then straighten, then i tease then i add a lil bit of hair spray then bam all done :3

ah dude i'd love to do that, but my mom won't let me use hairspray either....i do straighten my hair and i should try that backcombing thing.

i so dislike styling my hair, but unfortunately have to do it after every wash :/ if i've got time, i blow dry it on round brush, and then straighten it, but if i'm in a hurry, i just straighten the ends :P there's few good tips online on teasing hair, cutting it yourself, etc: http://www.littleblackcherry.co.uk/scene-hair-tips-10-w.asp

usually i wash / dry / streighten (spell fail)/ then backcomb but sumtimes il either use like a hair wax or hairspray and it takes about 30min or so (:
