Was told I would feel okay Not in pain I thought that I would heal And that I wouldn't have to feel All the guilt and shame Misery and pain Was supposed to be a release A way out from all that's been going on Yet only did it create some more agony, sorrow, and strife Now I sit with a broken heart, broken eyes, and broken leg I cannot move so smoothly now I cannot look you in the eyes For my own water and have dark rings surrounding I wish this wasn't the way it is I wish somehow I could be okay Happy, free, and painless Yet I sit here torn Shattered and just plain broken All because my little secret told me I'd be okay
