A man can walk and stand so tall But sooner or later you'll watch him fall Once that happens his wisdom you will not recall And through the dirt he will have to crawll Once a man is strong everyone looks up to him But once he falls you will never again hear him in the din No one will recall his next of kin An his end will then truly begin The hurt he feels in his hear you can not begin to conceive The constant pain in his heart fearing when others will leave Each word he speaks no one will believe And when he is gone no one will greave He has been hurt so many times before He tries to expect people to walk out the door But there's that person he will always adore But even for them just texting is such a chore The past is a time he can not forget His heart just feels beset As in his life he feels upset Again and again just full of regret He may a child to take care of yet And his true love he thinks he's met Emotionally he is in debt And no one knows it but his whole life is under threat The child has been his dream for a while But the one he loves lives away for miles and miles She was the one who made him smile But now his heart is full of bile The love is gone and his life is coming to an end He's sick of everyone still trying to pretend For his love he's tried to transcend Even his last penny he has tried to spend The time is coming for the pain to stop He just feels like other lives prop If only there was some way for his life to swap Just for one more day feel on top
