Definitely overrated. I used to love them, but their newest stuff just disappointed me. They're letting themselves be groomed by whatever record company they're signed with, and it's disgusting.

I agree with Fatalx BVB is good, but I think they're overrated compared to some other bands. Asking Alexandria isn't as overrated as BVB. AA doesn't get ENOUGH recognition and their songs are amazing <33

DEFINITELY overrated. Personally I love their demo's, it was very well done... Set the World on Fire? Cliche, boring, all over "ehh". And yes AA is fucking amazing. Saw them at warped, by far the best live show.

I dunno where I stand with them anymore, and I'm not a big fan of AA but it seems like every guy that I talk to he's like all over them and stuff... around my town AA definately gets the recognition they deserve

That's because AA is eargasmic. Where I live, AA isn't known by anyone! Which is so frustrating because their sound is so raw and amazing. And plus, they're much more unique than BVB. I like BVB, but I LOVE AA <3 :)

i certainly dont think that Black Veil Brides are overrated but then again they are my favorite band.. they arent afraid to be themsleves and stand up for themselves i think they deserve the attention that they are getting i just hope it doesnt go to their heads!

personally, I think that BVB nothing but a joke... their music is mediocre and has the same sound as every other band out there... not to mention the dude's voice is horrible. both scream and not.... and i can't stand visual key (or however you spell it... it's a heavy japanese thing) but they just... no...

BVB are, I have to say, one of my favourite bands. And I'm just gonna go ahead and rock the boat here, but I think Asking Alexandria suck. But one of my besties loves them, and I fully support her in that, she can like what she likes and I'll stick up for her. And my whole family like BVB. My parents, brother, my auntie, even my nan has said they sound all right for a "screaming band". XD And hey, we can have hour long family debates about the quality of each of them as musicians, vocalists, their stage presence. My parents are big fans of Andy's vocals. We're all music enthusiasts, it's really all we talk about as a family. So BVB doesn't limit their audience at all, it includes every one. That is why I think they are not over rated at all. But I get what you mean about how they've changed, I felt similarly about My Chemical Romance's new album. It was a complete u-turn from anything else they'd ever done. The art style was cool, the videos were awesome, and the music was okay. But what really put me off was all of the new "fans" coming in, the people who'd bullied me and teased me for liking this band were now taking it for themselves. I know that bands change and go in different directions, but I guess that's just life, you can't do anything about it. And bands not receiving recognition? My favourite band never receive the recognition they deserve. My Passion are all hard working, talented musicians who are passionate about what they do, and have so much time for their fans, but they're still playing tiny venues and most people I know haven't heard of them. More My Passion appreciation, people! Dx

Personally I think 90% of music is overrated. Very few bands live up to their reputation. I think I can name no more than 10 bands off the top of my head that aren't overrated.
