So today in school i gave one of my friends one of my pills i take to sleep because shes been asking for it for a while. somebody found out and they told the office. they called my 2 friends (who each took half of the pill) down to the office. the office people asked them where they got the pills and they told them they got it from me. so they called me down and i denied it to the end. and the office people were afraid that one of my friends were gonna die from it. my 2 friends that did it are kinda on the verge of being drug addicts and alcoholics. like i will admit i do drink a lot but i dont do it so much i dont remember anything. so what im trying to say is that they arent going to die from a sleeping pill. (theres more to that part but i cant say anymore about that.) so um im usually a good kid like i never get in trouble in school except for minor things and im afraid that i will get in a lot of trouble. the school counselor tried guilting me into admitting it. so i need some advice do i just stick with my original story that i didnt give the pill to them or do i tell the truth? usually id tell the truth but this is big and im freaking out and i dont know what to do

think about it though, if they're you're friends? and one of them does take a turn for the worst. youre going to feel so guilty about it. This was your doing, and i think the only honest thing you can do is tell the truth.

Without much thought I'd say let this one slip and lie, but after some thought I say be honest. It might be tough but best in the long-run.

*Gives a comfort cookie* : < I'm kinda unsure of what to say. On one hand, if the people are your good friends, you can probably talk with them and together, figure out a way to sort this out. Like, pretend to be joking and pretend it was filled with sugar or something and then tell them later so they can begin to recover from doing drugs by just eating sugar/candy every time they get the urge to do drugs (or something along those lines). If they're drug addicts/alcoholics, its really not likely that they're going to die from something like half of a sleeping pill if it's an Over The Counter pill. If it's not (like if your meds are perscription), or you feel bad about lying or anything, just tell them the truth. I'm assuming you're 13 (like you say on your profile) and you can pull the naive act and act innocent; in any case, put it this way, you won't get into as much trouble as the people selling drugs in highschol, and it'll be good for your conscience too.

I talked to both of my friends and they were both sorry but they were scared too and I understand that..it was a bad decision and im never going to give anybody anything in school anymore..today a cop came to the school today and I didn’t know why and I was like scared all day but I never got called to the office..im so glad..but on a good note I didn’t get in any trouble so far..we will see within the next couple of days though!
