A year ago, this all began. Two strangers met; Fate took command. I knew at once I was alive, and you knew at twice that we could survive. I was born a year ago. My eyes were opened, my heart ignited with a glow. I could not peel my gaze away from the look of you in Nature's day. And still I say, It was of you that I did pray. A year ago, disaster struck! I knew not of how to handle love; I could only fumble for luck. You took my breathless face, and kissed me with your lover's grace, took me in your warm embrace. It's strange to me how quickly three hundred sixty-five can pass so easily. We loved and cried and laughed and fought, and still, our bond is not denied. Eight months of silence could not kill my soul's demand for your sweetest thrill. A year ago, it all began.
