Dear love, I’m sorry to hear that you’re leaving; my heart is torn in two. I just want you to remember.... When you look in the car glass Just before you get in the car, And your reflection stares back, In vain, Remember... It’s telling you to- Remember my name. When you sit behind the wheel, And the car won’t seem to start, It’s the hand of fate trying to push you To- Remember my name. When the journey seems too far, And the road seems long and hard, Just remember your leaving a part Of your heart behind... Remember my name When you’re finally far away, And your world seems palely gay, Just remember that each cloud of rain Is crying my name...
