Most the time..Its a bad idea. You really shouldn't unless you know you can be with the person, or you can some how trust each other to wait, or give it a chance. If it is a mistake, then I made a big one. As I have fallen in completeeeee love with a girl on here, we talk alot, and text. We don't talk on the phone due to her over protective mother >.< But loves a funny thing, if its meant to be its meant to be. And me and her are going to wait for each other until I can drive up to see her and give our love a true chance. And I wouldn't say skyping with someones bad..Like I said..I met this girl..on this site, and we have each others cell numbers. I know the internet is full of pervs, and pedos. But not everyone you meet online is like that, and me and her know we are who we say we are. So, if you think you want to do it then, but if you got something to hide, or you REALLY don't want people to know who you are, then don't. I see you deleted you're pictures due to privacy reasons, so i'd say you probably don't want to give someone you're skype if your that worried.

Lolz i was just a lil paranoid this morning :D. Im gonna put them back up. I've skyped people on here and so far alls good. But you said you and this girl you met on here are going to "meet up". Police strongly urge people to NEVER meet up with people you meet online. And with good reason. Too many people get murdered going this.

online dating i think is stupid, theres not alot to gain from commiting that sort of emotional connection to someone you havent met, cause chances are if u ever do meet, the chemistry will be different and you may not like it. as for meeting people, i think its awesome. i met two girls from this site when i was holidaying in the uk, one even let me stay at her house when the was no room at the inn lol. :) was all in all a posative time that i would not give up for anything:)

understand these were people i'd been talking to for about a year. and we'd skyped and stuff before. and its the same as meeting anyone for the first time, a little scarey alot exciting and a bit awkward yeah but mainly i was just stoked to finally meet my good friends :) srsly had the biggest grin on the whole time

I think if there from the same country and theres a chance you can meet why not, nothing to lose but possibly something to gain. ive met a few people off this site and yes it is kinda scary but i had a great time and by the end of it had some new friends. i didnt want to leave. i have met someone i like off this site and met them and things went great sometimes you got to take a risk but just be careful. stick to public areas or go with a friend to meet them x

Considering my last boyfriend was someone I met online, I'd have to say I'm for it! So long as you're careful, (meet up in a busy, public place; talk over webcam before meeting up; make sure someone knows where you're going before you go) I can't see any reason why not. People always talk about how everyone on the internet is gonna rape you or something, and I'm not saying that nobody is that way inclined, but the vast majority of people are just like you and using the internet for normal things. However, I find long distance relationships stressful (I was only an hour's drive away, and even that put a strain on our relationship), so only get into one if you know you have the time (and money!) to do so :)

Just for reference..The girl lives 10 hours away from me..So its not like some 30 country distance... Though i'm wondering why are you like saying so much stuff about rapists, police, and stuff. Yeah its just a discussion, but its a little weird in my opinion.. Not everyone on the internet is a pedo, or a rapist, or a murderer. Just because the media, government, parents, and stupid people say this stuff happens and you should never ever do anything on the internet pretty much doesn't mean its true, its more bs then anything.

I would say depending on the person. I mean when you say never meet, do you mean face to face or have never talk to ever because I have personal had skype conversations with people that I have just met whether on here or on other sites. I dont think that it is really a bad idea I just think that it is really an age thing. I would say that anyone under 18 should probably stay away from it just because you honestly never know who ur going to meet.

Good idea and I have met some awesome people in person off this site. I have had girlfriends in the past I met online as well. Do make sure you let someone else know where you are going and meet in a public place though. If you have any doubts about meeting anyone off here please PM me.

Online dating is stupid, I'd never do it, but thats just because I have to have the physical, I have to be able to be held and hugged and kissed, yeah I'm needy but whatever... on a different topic, I think long distance relationships are equally as dumb.
