Hello boys and girls. I jolly day to you all [: I would like to point out a rather Obscure band which I absolutely adore. They're called: Amon Amarth. Their best album by far is: With Oden on Our Side. This album is based of Viking Religion - it really interested me in young age. If you don't have a clue what Viking Religion consists of it's the stuff like: Valhallan Afterlife, Multiple gods(Eg, Oden, Thor) and things like that. What Amon Amarth did was take the sheer Emotion of olden war and put it onto the songs in this album. They're awfully compelling songs. If you don't like all scream and growl songs; don't listen to Amon Amarth because their singer does not sing like most artists. Leave opinions in this thread! lol.... Amon amarath are not an obsceure band they are one of the biggest bands in metal.... and if your into them you should listen to guardians of asgard its amazing :)

yeah.. amon amarth have been going for years now... they're one of the big viking metal bands and are quite well known in the metal scene i think. they've released 9 albums so far and they're sooo AMAZING!!

plus they're not the only viking metal they're loads of viking metal bands :) theres also folk metal which you could say is similar theres Manowar (their heavy metal but their lyrics are mythology based etc...they basically started the whole viknig metal i believe), TYR and others. with folk metal theirs eluveitie, ensiferum, fintroll, wolfchant, Tululand, etc. :)
