Not a poem but had no where else to put this... I'm writing a story. If you like this installment post a =] and i'll post another section ^-^ FIRST INSTALLMENT I walk. My feet don't touch the ground, but onward I walk through the silent and empty hall drenched with pointalism paintings of broken smiles. For a while my footsteps were silent. It was as if for a few seconds the brief flickerings I made on the world disappeared. As if i'd disappeared and despite my faltering shadow that wavered in the glow of a yellow flame and the hummingbird sound of my heartbeat, it was as if I had just simply ceased to be real. For a few perfect seconds I was the ghost of my own existance but now my eyes are wide open again. Nonetheless terribly real, I survey my surroundings. Like glistening dew on sickly sweet, crimson roses, the floor glimmers with malicious glee, winking at me with hidden eyes as my feet plunge themselves downward. By firelight I can barely see but on the very tip of my tongue I can taste the familiar tast of iron. Subtle whisperings from the mice in the walls that surround me send the almost-electric adrenhaline pulsing through my system. My veins throb and whimper at its harsh touch as my heart sends it onwards. Faster. Faster! The panic builds to a crescendo and I can't breathe. I wither and fall to my knees into a congealing substance that coats my skin. Pounding in my head. Blood. Realisation floods me, drowning me in its bitter embrace. I am kneeling in blood. Whose? My own?! What's happening to me?!
