Emo Scene Community

Hey everyone, I've been a member for a little while but never really got around to introductions. I just sortof scrolled through the forums and picked out the stuff that related to me and went on my merry way but then I got back on today and decided what the heck I'll give it a try. A quick bio, I'm seventeen and I live in texas in a small town. Being different is frowned upon big time but honestly how can you define what is different when that requires defining what is normal as well and with todays society and the diversity it brings there is no normal. Not in my opinion anyway, there simply is what there is. Anyways I'm an artist, music and poetry, and am hoping to start a YouTube channel pretty soon on which ill imform everyone about. I've been playing guitar for I guess three years off and one so really more like one and writing poetry for a while, I guess 4 or five years. I started with the poetry to channel emotion, I'm sure a lot of the people can understand where I'm coming from. I'm not sure if I am emo, can we really label people now or is that even right? I'm emotional, very actually, but only on the inside and to three of my friend I can't live without. Just recently I've started composing music, been writing it for a year but never had the guts to perform or sing but I did my first performance a couple weeks ago and now I'm hooked. Anyways back to me, I had a difficult time in my life a while back that still haunts me to remember, the experience though brought me and another person closer and I've helped her through some difficult times many many times since. I felt that maybe immersing myself in this community I could help others, express myself, and find out who I really am.
