Hey there. I'm on the brink of possibly starting a romantic relationship with my best friend. I was just wondering what all your thoughts are on best friends dating; perhaps share an experience of dating your best friend, and weather or not it went well. Pros and cons? I've never done this before. :/

I've ended up going out with my best friend sometimes it happens your best friend with someone then later on in life you end up getting together and working... i don't see anything wrong with it, i mean yeah there's a risk of losing more then a boyfriend if it fails but that's a risk you'll be willing to take

I dated a guy who was my best friend for five years, and for a while things were absolutely amazing. He knew everything about me and i knew everything about him. What actually broke us apart was the fact that he was a heavy drug user, and I told him I wouldn't be with him if he couldn't sober up. So he was sober for a while, but eventually I found out he was doing drugs behind my back, and he also became horrifically abusive. So the reason our relationship failed was due to some flaws in his character. But had it not been for the drugs I think he and I could very well still be together today. You click as best friends for a reason, all it takes is some romantic attraction to make a relationship. Good luck to ya! <3
