Just don't care. They're opinions shouldn't matter at all, only your opinion of yourself. If there's one good thing I've gotten from high school its how to be myself. As crazy as that sounds since high school is full of social injustice and hierarchy, I learned that if I can live with my decisions with a guilt free conscious then I'll be happy. Nothing anyone else says or does can change that because truly, I'm in control of my emotions, not anyone else. And about your dad, try talking to him. It's got to be one of the simplest concepts yet so hard to do but seriously give it a try. What's the worst that could happen, you get grounded or even knocked around a little bit (I hope not though) but in the long run you'll be okay and more importantly you know you tried. My mom lost a lot of trust in me because of rumors that got back to her, none of which was true, but the idea was still in her mind even after she confronted me and I adamantly denied everything. So what she says no longer has the impact it used to, she's lost my respect. Since your dad seems to be unhappy with you, I'm guessing your dad might be playing favorites with your step brother, unfortunately until he comes around and sees reason there isn't much you can do. I guess what I'm trying to say with this long drawn out post is that you have to live your life to the fullest that you can. If you try your hardest than it IS good enough, its good enough for you and that's all that matters. You're in control of your life. You're the one who allows what others do and say to affect you, so take control. You just can't give up, never ever give up because once you do it's hard to come back.

i know how u feel. it seems like everyone in my family hates me. im so sick of it and people using me to get what they want. i hate it. but i learned to just ignore it. i know what u mean about getting hit too. my step dad seems to think me and my brothers are his personal punching bags. just know that if u ever need any one im here for u. and i wont judge u or anything. i promise.

I totally agree with them..they also seemed to have said everything there is to say..What might do the trick is..hmm find yourself a chill out spot you feel comfortable at that only you know about and treat yourself every once in a while..it might take away some of the some of the pressure building up..we're here for you anyway...don't give up.. :)<3
