I have not written poetry in like three years so excuse it if I'm a little rusty, making an attempt off the top of my head. Death grips at my hackles like a winter frost, My world is numb and my heart has stopped beating, My eyes dart around my desolate location, I think I'm lost, I can't feel a thing but my heart has stopped beating, This happens every time I get my salvation, Slowly sanity finally creeps up my spine, I don't welcome it, I want invigoration, I shoot one up and I feel just fine. I lay on the baron floor, not knowing the last time I left, Life comes back to me with a buzzing in my mind, I slowly get up with a burning mind and an aching chest, My insides panic while my body is numb, I need something I can't find, I'm a slave to substance, submissive to pain, I waste my life away, I live for the death, My skin crawls like spiders, theres a ringing in my brain, I want it but I don't got it, I breathe what could be my last breath, This is my addiction, I can't stop I've got no control, My adrenaline pumps for an injection, If this was a horror flick I'd play the leading role, It shadows me like the plague, like a deathly infection, My body is a corpse, my brain zombified, Only got one thing on my mind and I don't know why, I'm out of control and I'm terrified, I can't escape from this I can't run off and fly
