21yr old and 16yr old. Oct 04 2013, 02:37 PM

No guys my age like me (I'm 16.) So I kinda gave up and was gonna wait til I'm older to find someone My sister's friend ended up texting me like 2 weeks ago to wish me a happy sweet sixteen and to ask how I was like he took the time to do on holidays. He is 21yrs old. We actually for the first time continued to talk and I kinda like him. He is showing signs he likes me too. He sent me flowers. Not like a cheap mixed bouquet. It was roses. He also texts me every morning to tell me to have a great day and texts me at night to tell me "good night beautiful, you'll be in my dreams" Is this fine? or should I tell him he needs to stop?

In all honesty, be cautious. First, because that's quite a big age gap (obviously). Second, it seems to me he's coming on pretty strong.... From my experience, anytime I had a guy come onto me that fast/strong it NEVER ended well. Just my opinion though....

it depends if you really like him and confertable with it then if he text you stuff like that its ok but if you don't like him or feel uncomfortable you need to tell him to stop. as far as age it depends on maturaty and prioritys. a guy may be 21 but be young at heart and still what to have fun or they could not and what to focus on things like marriage, work, and family. im 18 and my bf is 22 but we work well together because im mature and so is he but he also has fun and acts silly plus we have known eachother since we were kids. it really just depends just don't force or rush anything taking it slow is the best thing you can do

I don't really have a problem with the age difference but other people aren't as open minded.... watch out for jerks .... they are every where

Im dating a somrone who is 4yrs older then me..it doesnt matter about age if u love each other then its ment to be it up to u.

AGE DOESNT MATTER when it comes to this stuff! i really dont understand why people judge people because of how many years they lived. but also be cautious because he is coming on you fast but if thts what u like then go ahead do whatever u want. if it goes bad dont be sad it over be happy it happened and if it goes good then YEA *happy dance*

the answer there is depends on how you feel about him.if you love him and you know that he truly loves you well go with it..age doesn't matter when it comes to love but don't rush everything..enjoy every moment that you've shared together while it's there..don't do the same thing that I did.I rejected someone before because of my classmates who keep on warning me and keep on terrifying me that's why now I'm regretting because I pushed someone I love away from me w/c happens to have Gf now..

thanks everyone. i kinda found out he only wanted me for sex. i hadn't realize the reason he started talking to me for real was because his girlfriend had dumped him and they got back together the other day. i think ima just continue to be single. i can flirt all i want and not have issues lol (:

there is nothing wrong with the age gap the first thing i would think about is do you like him? then think about how strong hes leading on is that normal for a 21 year old guy? i would say yes but be careful x
