I know a few people on the site have been on a couple of types and was wondering what you found worked? I'm in the UK so I've heard of fluoxetine (prozac) and citalopram (celexa), I don't really know anything about any others so I am anxious about going on another medication again and just want to know whats out there really.

i've had Amitriptyline tablets in the past for insomnia, very powerful stuff. but i'm aware it can be given to treat depression but in small doses only. i stopped the course after waking up feeling nauseous ,after taking the tablets . plus my body kinda became resistant to it... However i'm aware it's helped many people without problems, so it might be worth asking your dr about it :)

He put me on sertraline (zoloft/lustral) for now, he said if this doesn't work he will put me on another SSRI with something to increase my noradrenaline levels. God I hate tablets.

Gahhh I hate tablets too, I refused to take them :/ I think it's fluoextine my boyfriend used to take? But it helped him. I'd ask him but he's not here atm xD

Absolutely hate talets, taking them always makes me feel sick but if one works it's better than the alternatives.

I have stuff for insomnia.... my anxiety is the reason i cant sleep so they gave me special antidepressant/antianxiety stuff that doesnt make me all happy go lucky but just makes me care less <3 and makes me all sleepy and a little more cat like...they work, its great

I'm on Cymbalta, and it helps with depression though it doesnt help my suicidal thoughts.
