Looking at the moon makes me wonder what it would be like to leave What it would be like to not make a sound To be silent forever.. If I am so strong then why do I feel weak? My body is breaking down slowly, And my hands are slipping off the edge Leaving me closer to falling I walk with the company of love, but I still feel empty Like there is a black hole inside of me that eats away my happiness The only hope I have left is the love that I receive However, I wonder if that is even enough to keep me going I am fading away, like the dying rose And the moon is telling me to just let go Its light shimmers on the empty lake, leaving me to feel more alone It whispers things I have heard before Words I try to force myself to forget And now, looking at the moon, I wonder what it would be like to leave What it would be like to not make a sound To be silent forever.
