Emo Culture is a Bento Box Dec 27 2014, 09:55 AM

It sounds funny but in my opinion, current emo culture reminds me of a Japanese bento box. A bento box is: <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bento"> It looks a like combination of everything from glam to goth and punk and cyber culture + other subcultures (even anime and video games seem to be a huge part of it). I'm pretty sure cyber culture has played a huge role in it, because in 1970s when punk rock came out, there was no Facebook and the key word was anger while it is depression now. I think that can be said about most cultures tho. The longer a culture exist, the more it's going to grow and intertwine with other cultures. Not everyone likes change, including me, but it can be a good thing :) I thought the main thing that set emo and punk rock apart were the depression and anger respectively. OT: oh lerd, seeing that AFI vid makes me nostalgic. He reminds me so much of Hyde for some reason hahaha
