ignore them. just because what others say about him , shouldn't put you off being in a relationship with him nor alter what you already think of him :)

It can be difficult to hear people making fun of someone who is very special to you, it is almost as if they are hurting you too. But if you love being together you can both instead focus on that bond, and it will ride out any negativity coming from outside. Think how lonely these people will be in the future if they never find anybody as special as you have on account of their prejudice. Value what you have, ignore what others say and enjoy what you have together. :)

If you really enjoy being with each other it shouldn't matter what social stereotype you happen to fall into. Just ignore them, they're probably just jealous.
