Cheesecake: is it ACTUALLY a cake? Feb 04 2016, 10:17 PM

So today at school, we had a big debate on what cheesecake is? A lot of people say cake. But my idea of cake is sponge, frosting, bakeries... not... cream cheese. So, what is it? Cake? Pie? Tart? All I know is that it is disgusting.

ANYTHING is a cake if you believe hard enough!!! It does seem like it would be a pie but "cheese pie" sounds weird xD

it's one of those weird hybrids.. xD One thing is for sure,it's not a pie or tart by offical definitions as it doesn't contain pastry! =P

Ive been wondering that my whole life! I never have known...this is insanity! We need to ask the cheesecake itself what it thinks it is x3

^Perhaps we could have a medium converse with the spirit of the cheesecake.
