goth and deathrocker are the same thing tbh... Deathrocker is subsect of goth :) (it's a hybrid of punk,hardcore and goth) just thought i'd point ^^ out.

Well it's a subculture so it's different then the original goth for example you wouldn't say a cyber goth is the same thing as goth it might be their backgrounds that's similar but their ideology is different in style, music and other things so saying that goth and deathrock are the same thing is pretty controversial since deathrock does have minimal changes like it's style going towards more to the punk scene and so as it's music, but it's like saying that heavy metal and metalcore are the same thing, yes they are both heavy, yes they are both loud but they each focus on different themes.
