For me it was about the music to start with and then I changed how I dressed and felt more comfortable. Then I made this site and the rest is history!

I didn't choose the emo life, the emo life chose me 😅

It just kind of happened and I felt more comfortable dressing that way that than then girly kinda stuff my mum had me in lol

always felt it, always suited me, but I was too afraid to express it when I was younger and for good reason. now I can live and express myself freely without retribution. I don't think I'll ever go back

well i am emo in some ways with all the piercings i have and the love for that but well screamo/emo music is also one thing too but i am kind off emo because i like somewhat the style of it both in fashion and music but i am also truly Gothic otherwise with a lot of black clothes and lace and such and love for the dark stuff in life ( paranormal stuff and death and such ) To end this i dont identify as only one type of style i have many i mix :) thats what makes me being myself :) <3

i mean, i've always been pretty counterculture and somewhat angsty or dissatisfied with the world. i just found a subculture that shared those interests and felt the pain and isolation i've always felt. it just kinda clicked and i found a way to express and understand myself.
