This is a poem I wrote a couple of weeks ago about my deaf daughter I originally posted it onto quizilla.

You feel my touch, you see my smile
To feel full of joy I need only hold you for a while
You are so tiny, so perfect to me
Though you can't hear me, perhaps you only need to see
Before you arrived, I had no reason for living
Now you are here, I hope my grim thoughts can be forgiven
My one wish is maybe someday you will hear
Hear my voice telling you my pride for the life we are living
To me you are not disabled, have no impairment the eye can see
To me you are perfect, the one little gift which makes me happy
I long for the day when you can hear me say, I love you my darling, don't you ever change
But for now, until they can fix your ears, what we will have through the quiet years
Is a special bond, between you and I, a silent love, which will never die.
