I Thought It Was Over... May 30 2011, 04:22 AM
So, basically, when I was 12, I started getting these really bad dizzy spells. If I didn't sit down, I'd faint (actually happened once... not something I want to repeat in a hurry xD) and my mum got really over-protective so I was basically housebound except for school and this orchestra I used to go to (cuz my mum volunteered there so she could keep an eye on me). Even when my mum did start to relax a little, it didn't make much difference cuz while I was having a spell, I couldn't do anything, and I missed a lot of time off school (on year 8, my attendance was less than 50%...) They started getting better shortly after my 15th birthday, and since then, I've only had a few minor spells. At least, until this morning. When I had a really bad one. And I'm still feeling the effects of it, even though it was about 2 hours ago now. I'm really scared... I don't want it all to happen all over again, I'd finally just about got my life sorted, and I can't afford to have much time off 6th form or work :( I don't really want help or advice because if it happens, it happens... I just need a really big hug and someone to tell me it'll be alright :(

It'll be alright!! Get yourself to the doctors and find out about these dizzy spells.

*hugs* :) Yeah, I'd strongly recommend asking a docter if you haven't already.

Thanks guys *hugs* I was constantly at the doctors while this was going on the first time, they diagnosed me with basilar migraine but I don't believe that (though I think that's partly because I don't want it to be - basilar migraine can increase your risk of having a stroke), and the tablets they put me on have had different side effects that I don't wanna go through again (being really hungry, hypersomnia, depression), so I understand why I should go to the docs, but I highly doubt I will :/

Take a multivitamin tablets and make sure your eating a good diet. Alot of medical problems are due to poor diets. You'll probably find your iron deficient or something. :)

Iron deficiency was one of the first things they tested me for, so it's not that :) though I wish it was... that'd be so easy to sort out :L Maybe I should take multi-vitamins though... I've been really stressed recently and I don't eat properly when I'm stressed :/ Hopefully I'll be able to make it to the meet-up :D
