I've been thinking about telling my mom that I cut my wrists and have recently been thinking about suicide. Maybe she could help... Anyways what do you think I should do? Have you ever told your parents or gardians about selfharming or suicidal thoughts? I need advice. If I don't get these suicidal thoughts out of my mind, I might be gone forever. Help?!

my mom found out I was selfharming a year ago...but she thinks I'm not cutting anymore...my mom didn't take it good..and I wouldn't suggest you telling yours...but however she might help..it's up to you!..just take care!<3

I think you should. Having your parents know can help a lot, even if its just so they can ease up on you some... My dads (both of them) found out, just by putting 2 and 2 together and they are making things a lot less stressful for me... Tell your parents, you will feel better after words.

Don't Do it!!!i told my mom everything and she told me i was crazy and my whole family hates me now!!!you'll life will be ruined forever!its a terrible experiance....please dont tell!!!

Well, we have all been there, different parents take it different ways. But they are going to find out sooner or later. You can't hide in jeans & long sleeved tops all the time. My advice is that if you do cut which I highly DON'T recommend, put Spirit on the location first. One, it will help prevent scarring & Two, you won't get an infection & fester up, then you'll have to go to Hospital, your parents will find out, blah blah blah. So, my suggestion is, you sit your mother down, look her straight in the eye & gently tell her. Your the only one who knows your own mother so do it around on how you think she will react. We are all here for you & dearly support you no matter what <3
