I have social anxiety (A.K.A. social phobia). Do any of you? Do you know any ways to get over it?

Oooh ooh me me me!! *raises hand* Getting over it? Sorry to spill it to you, but you have to immerse yourself into your fear hiding from people will get you no where; in fact it will only make your social anxiety worse TRUST ME

I don't have it, but I've been learning about it for Psychology :) however, from how I've seen treatments for various phobias work... your best bet would be "systematic desensitisation" - i.e. gradually exposing yourself to your fear :)

I do but mine isn't like extremely bad... I can't eat lunch in the cafeteria because it bothers me, and it gets hard for me to breath in crowded hallways, and I get really nervous, but I just kind of deal with it... it's actually kind of interesting
