Oh that I may find the one, The one- The one to whom I can say: Forever. “Forever yours Forever mine…” And hear it echoed by her voice…. Oh that I could find you… Not a mountain would be too high Not a hurdle too tall Not a journey too long Just us two, We would conquer all. Oh how I wish. How I wish that I would find The one that would ne’er let go That angels could not part from me, Nor demons pull away. Oh how I pray… Oh how I pray that together, Together you and me; You and I- Could manifest a love So sure, So fine, So sublime, That God would look upon us, And smile And say “This love is mine.” Oh can it be? Can it be that such a woman Belong to me? For if she be And our hearts join, I’d love her till the end The end of time… Oh that our time would Know no end… Stephen J Blackman February 15, 2012 ©
